I’m a young male and I am wanting to begin lifting/working out. I never had an older brother figure to give me pointers or help me start in the gym. I am average weight, and a little bit over average height. I am going to start working out because I am constantly being reminded that I’m weak. I’m going to go to my local rec center, but where do I even begin on lifting? I don’t want to just have a random routine where I roam the gym doing random machines for no reason. I want to get strong, that’s my main goal. I was going to post in r/Gym but it needs a stupid amount of comment karma that I don’t have, so I wanted to ask you guys. Please help, give me some kind of app or article that would hopefully help me start. Thank you 🙏
