Women who had a secret wedding, how did it go and how are things now?

1. We got eloped and got married in Vanuatu. Didn’t tell anyone until after we got back.

   It a was really good experience.

   We booked in at a small resort that did wedding packages, and they organised everything for us. Paperwork, the minister, the location, hair & makeup, a photographer, food, music, cake. Even witnesses.

   The day before the wedding, they also organised for my husband to go on a fishing trip so I could have a full spa day.

   It was super casual. He wore shorts & a Hawaiian shirt, I was barefoot in a kaftan. We got married in the garden adjacent to the beach, and afterwards had a picnic dinner.

   We had a week at the resort, then went on a sailing trip for 3 weeks around the islands as our honeymoon.

   And now… we’re approaching our 16th anniversary.
