I’m 40 and want to meet women 50-65. How do I go about doing this?

I have only dated women through work or school. I tried dating apps but couldn’t get matches. I haven’t dated and had sex with many women. I don’t want anything serious. I have had people say you can randomly approach women in bookstores,malls, and on the streets but does that really work? I don’t drink so bars are out of the question.
