Any song by the Beatles, given my mother was born in 1971.
Not sure…a comedy foxtrot of some description?
Cab Calloway – St. James Infirmary Blues (1933)

My mom was born in 1973, so anything by the Beatles would suffice.
My mother was born in 1926 so I’ll go for The Entertainer by Scott Joplin.
Mum was born 1976, so some glam rock maybe, some merseybeat tracks.
My mum was born in 47 so I’m quite happy with anything from Glenn miller.
If your mum was born in 1937, I’d go for Benny Goodman’s Swingtime in the Rockies – recorded in 1936:

Mum was really old so something by Beethoven probably
Well my mother was born in 1936 so something something bananas
My mum sometimes sings a song from before she was born called I’ve Danced With A Man, Who’s Danced With a Girl, Who’s Danced With The Prince of Wales.
It’s a fun bouncy little song from the late 1920s so predates her by a bit more than a decade but reminds me of her.
In the mood
My mum was 50s born. I love the fallout sound track. Some is super colonial racist, but a lot has good beats.
I also quite like a ceilidh. Think most of that stuff has been going for a long time before my mum.
My mum was born in 1955, so I could go for something by Glenn Miller. “In the Mood” is good for dancing to.
Then Christ it’s not my dad as he’s 1937 n’all 😂
For me it would be Buddy Holly – Rave On
Red Prysock – Hand Clappin (1955) https://youtu.be/fvib_WIomho
My mum was born 1958.
Stardust by Bing Crosby, the 1931 version.

It’s an old jazz standard, covered by hundreds, if not thousands of artists. Bing’s version from 1931 is great, he also had some other hits before your mum was born in 1937.
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (1941).
I’d have a go at the dance sequence in A Knight’s Tale with Shannyn Sossaman – it’s a banger, and she is absolutely stunning!
I know it *sounds* like Golden Years, but it’s obviously medieval….
My first thought was A Little Less Conversation by Elvis, I checked and it came out a year before she was born! Jailhouse Rock would’ve been a safer option.
