Some acquaintances have shown up in the people you may know section on Instagram and I’m not sure if it would be strange to follow them and I’m also wondering whether they’d be notified if I do.

    They might see a notification, but so what? 🙂

  2. I’ve never asked anyone if I could follow them. Nor has anyone ever asked me if they could follow me. Asking would be kind of weird; it seems like a really passive, supplicating behavior.
