I (29f) was with my ex for 7 years and then we broke up last year. This year, I started dating again, casual at first. But then I met this guy and we both agreed that we didn’t want anything casual. He’s the first person I’ve dated seriously (since my ex) with the intention of going into a relationship. We were dating about 3-4 months, but now it’s not going to work out.

I want to put myself out there again on dating apps, but I’m feeling discouraged and exhausted. I don’t want to waste my time dating someone, hoping it’ll lead to a relationship, only for them to change their mind months later.

I also feel the societal pressure of being aware of my biological clock, having to get married and have kids soon (I do want this). And many of my friends are in relationships or already married and I’m just here, single. I’m tired of waiting for it to be my turn to find my person.
