I have recently started to notice a pattern with this co-worker and we never have any issues and we don’t now; which in saying that, I know it’s in my head and i’m sure to be over-thinking this.
However, I notice she is fine with me 1:1 but whenever the other guys gives me full attention and joke around with me she hates it. For example; I have an inside joke with my supervisor, we call each other our full-names and she finds it weird.
Another incident, I was talking to two men 2:2 then she came over and I miss heard something and one of the guys was laughing shaking his head saying ‘go back to your desk’. Then she goes ‘put your listening ears on’ like she’s trying to be one of the guys.
She’s also told me multiple times I am too nice, which I don’t think is a bad thing because in our line-of work it’s very stressful.
She knows I like one of our co-workers and she was talking about something work related saying how he didn’t do this or that and I was like in a joking way, Oooo we both have something in common. Her response was, it’s nothing to be proud of. Obviously I was joking!
And she goes you got our cleaner thinking your guy is hot. She’s also told me that he has kids (she knows I don’t want them) when in fact he does not have kids.
