Tbh, I can’t recall. Probably went out to dinner with my partner and maybe a couple of friends. I’m not into making a big event out of my birthday, so it would have been something low-key and relaxing for me.
Had a party. A few friends flew in and we made a long weekend of it.
Low key. Time with family, dinner, line of coke and maybe watch a movie.
Bought a house. The first and probably only time I’ll ever be able to afford a home.
Had a fight with my husband because he went *hunting*. He “couldn’t get the day off” until his best friend called him with a reservation for a blind to go duck hunting. He has since been told should he ever pull this *shit* again on my birthday, his credit card bill will contain the price of a puppy(not a hunting dog) and all the top of the lines supplies and he will be handed over to the family “nuclear option” until he apologizes to her satisfaction. Hunting on my birthday is one of things discussed BEFORE we got married. There’s no hunting on my birthday or our wedding anniversary–no exceptions. When the kids were little, he also couldn’t hunt on the oldest’s and youngest’s birthdays(middle’s birthday isn’t during hunting season)
