So I’m crushing so hard on this guy at work. He’s about 20 years older than me 23f. This feels weird because the crush I have feels fantasy like.

I had a similar infatuation with an art teacher when I was 12. It’s been so long time since I’ve had a crush but now I’m legal and of age I’m wondering can a man see when a much younger woman has grown fond of him.

He will compliment me on what I’m wearing sometimes and give me tasks to do so we can talk more. Sometimes when I talk to him he’s looking at the floor and avoiding I contact.

This man is very affectionate towards me but I can’t tell if it’s like a little sister/niece type of affection or a deep fondness for me, something beyond kinship.

Men 35+ what would you make of a much younger woman having a crush on you? Would it make you feel uncomfortable?

Also is it obvious when a younger women is into you?

Would you act affectionately to all much younger women out of friendliness or just the ones you think are cute?

  1. No I’ve never really had crushes on younger girls, I’ve known a few through friends and I’ve always found them to be immature and often fire crackers that can explode over silly things. And their lack of life experience can make them a nightmare to talk to as they can’t relate

  2. Eh. I mean I can think “wow she’s attractive”, sure, but as a rule I wouldn’t be able to get over the creep factor. It’s just too wide a gap for me personally (I’m in my late 30s).

Some guys wouldn’t give a shit, and would go for it. And I guess there’s some theoretical situations where I really click with someone despite the gap.

I do think that if you made a move, and asked him, he wouldn’t be repulsed or anything. At worst he’d gently turn you down. And I mean, fuck it, if you like the guy, and understand the challenges/risks of a gap like that, you do you

  3. They’re attractive until they speak. Within a minute or two, the difference in maturity is made clear.

I’m sure there are exceptions or there, but I’ve never met one.
