My wife was recently promoted and moved to a different floor in her building. Her former colleagues/friends, never congratulated or said any positive comments to her in regards to her promotion. Whenever she goes back to her former floor, they begin saying ‘jokingly’ that she needs to leave, that she doesn’t belong there anymore and besides that, their dynamic has completely changed. Her friends have become more distant and no longer chat with her or interact with her as before.
I tell her that probably they are envious, and that men deal with that by being harmful (verbally). But this situation is starting to piss me off. My wife is clearly hurt by them, but they do not apologize nor decrease their ‘attacks’ on her. She still cares a lot about them (she’s an empath) but they no longer give a fuck about her.
How can I help her deal with this?
