I’ve been having trouble ending conversations. Not necessarily in the way that I don’t want to continue the conversation, but that I don’t know how to transition. I usually end up standing there a little awkwardly.

What are some good ways to transition out of conversation or into another topic?

  1. * “Well it’s been GREAT catching up, have a nice WEEK!”
    * “Hey, I gotta BOUNCE but it’s been great TALKING with you!”
    * “I’ll let you GO now, but I hope we can do this again SOON!”
    * “Well I’ve got a BUSY day, but it’s been awesome CATCHING UP!”

Before making any of the statements, put a big smile on your face and shift your voice to a tone of finality. If you can’t get the person to stop talking, then put your hand on their arm as you interrupt with one of these friendly conversation enders.

  2. Enter tunisian mode cuz tunisians tend to change the conversation every so often
