Tldr What does this phrase mean coming from a guy? He said this on my birthday.
But he is dating someone else. The guy who told me i mean a lot to him has been very caring and loving. What I notice is:
1. He said to me that he only likes the person he is dating but doesnt really love the person he is dating.
2. He’s always helping me with my psychological issues
3. Whenever we are together, he always says he needs me because i can help him get motivated to work plus he said he needs me because he always laughs when with me
4. He thought of relocating to my city because im here
Anyway, im a whole confused of the situation because no one got as emotional on my birthday, only him. What do you think?

He told you that you mean a lot to him, and it has no underlying meaning. Sounds like you have feelings for him though to read into his actions and what he’s saying.
