Everything was okay at first. They shared all the enthusiasm I did, at nearly all times. Even they themselves told me several times that I am their favorite person. But a few days later I suddenly woke up to a long message saying they think we are incompatible because of a few differing opinions, that they want someone who’s as weird as them. And that apparently I have too much of an obsession with friendships and am too stuck in the past. Now they blocked me everywhere.

I really think I am not meant to have friends. WHENEVER I get close to someone, they end up leaving me for one reason or another, whether it be their own personal problems or me not talking enough, or me talking TOO much. Should I give up?

Also I am only 20

  1. It sounds kind of cliche but if that’s someone’s reasoning behind cutting off all contact with you, you’re probably better off without them..
that being said you’re only 20! You have so much time to form new friendships so do not give up.

Maybe try to spread out your enthusiasm for friendships on multiple people? That way you can avoid straining one person & then if something like this happens again, you’ll have others to fall back on. Just a thought. Good luck!

  2. I’m so sorry for your loss. But you’ve got all your life ahead of you. People come and go. And you’re perfect as you are so do not be afraid even if it’s hard from the start. Don’t you ever give up on finding new people and relationships with them. We’re social animals. That’s what we do
