You can go either way. Make sure you use lube. Silicone lube will last longer, but is not compatible with some materials. It’s fun to find it there, and it’s fun to help you get it in.
I’d get a three plug training set. Soft silicon. A nice slick lube. Try them first on your own to get a sense of your own pace. If it all works well start using them with a partner.
