I ordered stuff from Amazon a few months ago and got it delivered to the hotel a friend of mine was, but by the time it reached the hotel my friend had already left NY. An acquaintance of my friend collected the package from the hotel, and I am looking for a way for that acquaintance to send it to a friend of mine who will be visiting NC, with me covering the package and minimizing the hassle. Is there some kind of a “prepaid parcel” or something of that sort that I can use for that?

  1. If you are in contact with someone at the hotel you can generate a shipping label and pay for it from UPS or USPS and schedule a pickup at the hotel. All that person would need to do for you is to affix the label and hand it to the courier when they arrive.

  2. You can create a UPS label on their website without an UPS account and pay with your card. Then email it to them. They’d need to be able to print it. Or take to a UPS store and have them print it for you.

Hell I’d imagine the UPS store could also just create a label and send to your friend.

  3. You can buy labels on the USPS or UPS website then all they’ll need to do is print it out and tape it on.

  4. You can also look into “Collect on Delivery” services. These are shipping services that require payment by the recipient before the parcel is handed over.
