Just ask them to match the new customer deal or you’ll leave. (If you’re prepared to leave).
Yes, I have explicitly done this with Virgin Media, and countless other places.
They generally do not block people at the same address becoming a new customer because that would subsequently mean if you moved out, a new tenant (or owner) couldn’t become a customer.
Most places only class a “new customer” as someone with the same email address, and don’t even check name or bank details. I’ve even signed up to Virgin again as a new customer with a secondary email myself.
They don’t care.
