I had sex with a girl who had an HSV2 outbreak a few months ago. I don’t believe she uses suppression drugs. We kissed and did PIV, didn’t do oral. I used a condom, washed with soap immediately after getting home, and applied a topical antibacterial spray around the entire area.
Realistically, what are the chances I might still contract it? And do I really need to wait a few months or can I test for it in 2 weeks?

My understanding is there’s no good tests for it without an outbreak. It is not included in a routing STI panel, mostly because it’s so widespread and relatively harmless. You can ask to be tested for it, but every time I do they push back, ask if I have symptoms, and if they include it say it’s not necessarily going to give accurate results.
According to the cdc, a condom won’t give you one hundred percent protection, but it does reduce the likelihood of it being transmitted. This article won’t answer your specific question, but it will help you understand it.
