I (F26) have been seeing a friend of mine (M24) for a couple of months now. We hangout often (like 2-3 times a week) and we basically act like boyfriend and girlfriend, but never discussed giving it a title just because we both recently got out of relationships a few months ago. Everyone says we might as well make it official and a few people already thought we were.
So, last week, we were at a bar for a gig he had and we’re drinking a bit. I stayed over, we started hooking up and I couldn’t even help it, I just said “oh my God, I love you. I’m sorry I can’t hide it anymore I love you.” He said “I love you too” and we had a cute little laugh about it, kept going, and then cuddled and kissed until we both fell asleep.
When I went to leave in the morning, I didn’t mention anything because it was super early and I had to get to work (and I kind of wanted him to bring it up, idk why).
It’s been almost a week and we haven’t discussed it but it’s sort of obvious we both want to, but I think we’re scared and a little confused. I’m seeing him tonight, how do I mention it casually? I really did/do mean it. I know I care about him because I want to see him all the time, I want him to be successful and happy, we have meaningful conversations that aren’t dry, we have so much fun together and our energy matches really well (which he’s mentioned multiple times to me about our energy/ enjoying my company). I don’t know why I’m scared to bring it up. Hellllpppp!!
TL/DR: I told my friend I love him and we haven’t discussed it yet.
