help! i am so into my (F22) guy best friend(M22), we’ve been friends for a little under a year. we bonded initially over both going through gnarly breakups and we were able to support eachother through it. we texted for a long time as he was out of state, and he came back to our university in august and we hang out several times a week. he wasn’t planning on coming back to school, but he says he came back because i’m here.
i realized i had feelings for him a few months ago, and i thought he might like me too? he hugs me all the time and hangs out at my place until 3am some nights. we have started watching shows together and he’s come over and cooked for me when my family was out of town. he’s lent me sweatshirts, offers for me to crash at his place if i ever need it, and even bought me a pair of earrings that related to my new job. BUT he recently developed a crush on someone else, and never stops talking about her. he makes sure to call me a friend and tell me how grateful he is for my friendship.
he’s so great, i have crazy feelings for him but aside from that he’s an amazing friend. i’m afraid to tell him because if i do then what if our friendship is ruined? what should i do?

Sounds like you guys are already dating so I think hes into you. I would just ask if hes seeing anyone and be transparent about how you feel.
