So, as the title says, where should I go? I got invited to a Halloween party in my workplace (everyone has been really nice to me, a few exceptions here and there but the majority of people are really nice to me) but I also got invited to a Halloween party by friends, both on the same day.

To be honest, I’m kinda anxious going to the Halloween party that my colleagues are planning because 1, I’m the youngest of them all so sometimes I struggle to keep a conversation due to age-gap reasons, 2, I feel like I will be just an “extra” there since I’m still an intern(I don’t know how to explain it properly),BUT I know if I go, I will have some kind of “bond” with them, which that could be on my side in the future in terms of connections but also I can put my social skills on practice as my dad advices

On the other hand, I’m more comfortable with my friends (obviously) as we have more stuff in common and I have more fun with them and I’m actually looking forward to it.

  1. Why not do both? Hit the workplace party first. When you feel like you’ve done all you wanted there, let people know you’ve been invited to another Halloween party. Thank your bosses (lie). Thank whomever put on the party. Say you had a great time and would love to stay (lie) but you have to get going. End the night living it up with your friends. Win win
