I joined college approx 2 months ago, I still feel very awkward while talking. I can’t find anyone who matches my vibe. Lil about me: I am extremely introverted and I barely talk, I feel like an NPC since my mind goes blank when I am in a group. How or what can I talk about?

  1. Okay sorry about the joke so heres some actual advice, talk about your classes, talk about professors, talk about the food they serve in the cafeteria, just talk it doesn’t matter what you talk about, just get comfortable talking about whatever. You can talk about the weather, tell someone you like their backpack or shirt. Eventually you’ll meet people who match your vibe and appreciate you, making friends is hard so don’t be to hard on yourself just get out there and try.

  2. Currently, in my 4th sem (it was online for the first 3) & still unable to make friends, I’m rooting for you.

  3. If you say you are an introvert to yourself, that’s already a bad start..

  4. Be a detective. After asking a question about something relevant start asking question pertaining to their response, like why they like it or don’t like it, when they started, what made them start, where they go etc…this leads to more detective questions and longer more in depth conversations that go beyond surface level. From there you can say something like, I’d be interested in joining you on this or that thing if that’s cool. Most people make friends through similar hobbies, so I’d start there.
