What’s your favorite pen?

  1. Those Pilot G2 gel pens. I won’t use anything else if I have a choice in the matter. They’re glidey as fuck and perfect for my handwriting. Which is a combination of print and cursive. Very swoopy. Fuck a regular ass ball point pen. Those things feel like you’re trying to write with a nail.

  2. Inc. R2 Rollerball. Literally orgasming the whole time I write. It’s gross. I gotta write fast so I don’t make a mess.

Also, found this Japanese pen one time that was a dream town write on. No idea what the brand was, but methinks Japan might have the pen game on lockdown.

  3. I’m an assistant to the county drainage engineer…. when I’m in the field surveying or observing a project – or at my part time EMS gig – my go-to is the lowly Bic Clic Stic. There is no better pen in my opinion. At trade shows or EMS conferences, I’ll grab 20-30 of them if I can.

In the office, I go for the Unibal Vision Elite BLX (black ink infused with color, I use the blue), or the Uniball 207 Needle.

    Pencil…. Rotring 600

  4. I had a 10 point pen. It was shit but everyone else didn’t know and didn’t care if it were.

  5. Copic gasenfude

    Uni pin fineliner 0.5

    BRW Evoke Outline

Special shout-out to a 30+ year old semi broken Montblanc that my grandfather gave me

  6. Bic medium point blue & white ones. Though, lately I’ve had a side thing with those Bic clear one with the red ink & tops.

  7. The workhorse is a Pilot Metropolitan with fine nib. I’ve never had an issue with it in 15 years.

The daily driver is a Lamy Safari with a swapped out extra-fine nib. I find it’s comfortable for longer writing sessions. Not to say I don’t use the Metro for that too, but it has a little more weight.

Aside from fountains, that g2 in a .38 point is solid. Though I have had a ball pop out once.

Depending on applicability some felt-tips like the Paper mate Flair in a medium is nice, but that’s heavily dependent on the paper too.

(this just turned on the ADHD in me.)

  8. I’m loving my Uniball Gel Impacts, refills are abundant, and they’re super smooth.

The main issue IMO is that they burn through ink so fast.
