I live in a city where between October and January the number of fireworks going off a day LOUD is usually high. On 5th of November it is impossible to see due to the smoke etc.
Kids being arses etc.
This year… Saturday… 4 bangs where it used to be 20 or 40 plus. Is this a crackdown? Is this cost of living? What are your experiences?

I never hear any fireworks except November 5th and New Year. Where can you even buy them?
These days firework night is spread over a fortnight between Guy Fawkes and Diwali. Last year, Diwali was in October, this year it comes after Bonfire Night so that might well explain the difference. In addition, large parts of the country have been too wet for fireworks.
I’ve had a steady stream of 2-5 firework bangs a night since the start of the month. I’d love to say it’s people celebrating something but realistically because of the demographic of where I live it’s most likely just yobs.
If you set off a firework in my village outside of the 4-6 Nov or 1 Jan, the Facebook group would be full of worried twitchers thinking gang warfare had broken out.
