Would you be okay with your boyfriend intentionally letting his phone die, telling you it’s going to die and telling you he has no intentions of charging it for two hours while he “gets a ride home from work” from a guy you don’t know? Would you get upset at the deliberate choice to not charge his phone or ask someone someone for a charger when there’s a number of people you work with that could potentially have one and you have two hours to charge it.

Honestly, it’s a bit strange behavior. I’d probably be a little suspicious and question why he’s intentionally letting his phone die instead of finding ways to keep it charged. It’s understandable to feel upset that he’s deliberately choosing not to charge it or ask for a charger. It’s a red flag worth addressing in the relationship.
