  1. What does your family like? Start with the protein and then google recipes for it. Or find a recipe that looks good but ask for recommendations about the protein or the recipe in r/Cooking.

  2. Didn’t even need to be impressive, just get everyone fed in a semi healthy way.

    – spaghetti or goulash is always good
    – tater tot hot dish with green beans
    – stir fry if the kids will eat it
    – chicken legs, mashed potatoes, and broccoli
    – sloppy joes and salad
    – burgers
    – taco night
    – enchiladas
    – big soups (stew, chilli, chicken and dumplings, egg roll soup, and soooo many more)

I use Pinterest to meal plan and it’s a game changer. You just type in “dinner ideas” and bam a million and 5 ideas to impress your wife.

Also don’t underestimate the benefits of cooking breakfast for the family too:

    – quiche
    – breakfast burritos
    – sausage egg muffin sandwiches
    – pancakes (and pigs in a blanket are easy)
    – breakfast casseroles

  3. Fettuccine Alfredo is really easy to make. You boil the pasta. For the sauce you need cream or half and half, minced garlic, butter, black pepper, fresh Parmesan cheese grated, and parsley.

First you melt the butter and sauté the garlic in it. The you slowly add cream and cheese and let it melt, then add more. Keep stirring. Keep the heat on medium.

You might want to add what ages the kids are (if you have them) and foods you guys like and don’t like as well as any diets or food allergies to make it easier.
