First date

Hi everyone! I matched and chatted with this guy from a dating app, and eventually we moved onto texting. We had a date and it went pretty well, we even spoke about meeting again and that we are interested. But since the date we only spoke once and it’s been a few days since then, does that mean he has lost interest? Is it worth it texting him myself, or is that desperate? Or should I waste and see if he reaches out? I’m just very confused :/
I texted him the day after the first date asking how he got home and we had a brief convo, and he seemed genuinely interested.
