Had an awkward moment. I was walking back from grocery shopping when a girl across the street waved at me. I looked around, unsure, and she waved again. Without my contacts, I couldn’t recognize her, so i tried squinting but still couldn’t see who it was in the moment and just kept walking. I regret not knowing who it was and worry I seemed like a douchebag… Maybe im overthinking?

  1. There’s nothing to be lost by waving back, even if the person is a TOTAL STRANGER. If they were waving at someone else, so what? They don’t know you and who cares if you waved. But if it was someone you DID know then that’s a miscommunication and a missed opportunity.
