I started off about a week ago with bad itching in the vaginal area which shortly followed by some small clumps of white discharge, which made me assume a yeast infection. However the discharge seems to have changed and is no longer lumpy like yeast infections usually are. When I wake up in the morning, my whole external vulval area has a white coating over it and the white discharge now appears to be almost thick and milky rather than the “cottage cheese” like texture often described. It’s also completely odourless. I’m just concerned about other conditions now such as trichomoniasis, although I’d think a strong smelling often yellowish-green discharge would be more likely for that! I’ve also considered BV but again there’s no smell. NB I’ve recently had an STI test done and am clear for chlamydia and gonorrhoea. Any advice would be appreciated, does this sound like a yeast infection despite the non-cottage cheese like discharge? Thanks!
