How do I not get nervous when I’m telling a story? I hate having everyone’s eyes on me. And if I’m adding on to a topic of conversation how do I know what they’ll care about hearing vs what they won’t? I feel like during a convo I wanna tell a short story about my experience with something but I refrain out of fear of boring people or over sharing.

I literally overthink everything I’m about to say like “oh they’ll think I’m arrogant if I share this” or “eh they probably don’t care” or “they’ll use this against me somehow”.

I have a little social anxiety. 😵‍💫

  1. Just tell the story like you would want to hear it.
Start off with a surprising statement, then elaborate.
Usually people chime in and ask questions but not always.
Remeber to keep it relatively short and keep ot interesting by not mention all the exciting bits right at the start.
Also the most important thing is that YOU care what you’re talking about, then people will usually start to care too.

Don’t worry too much abt it tho. I know plenty of people who constantly bore others with their stories going “and then x happened and then y and then z etc etc”
Not every one can be a master storyteller.
