Get to know the other person, build some rapport and physical chemistry, decide if there should be a second date. Ask questions, talk about yourself, have fun. Don’t try to be someone you’re not. Don’t overthink it.

Most important thing is to balance the talks. No one wants to listen to a self centered person talking about themselves all day long. Given that, be a good listener and don’t interrupt mid conversation. Avoid prying into sensitive topics and always be respectful. Enjoy and don’t be too shy.
In my opinion, doing something other than staring at eachother across a table at a restaurant might be ideal. Mini golfing for example might be better because you’re not anxiously not doing anything.
