I (29f) recently asked this dude(29) out that I’ve been talking to for weeks. And like I wouldn’t call it emotionally intense but it’s very VERY sexually charged. He even agreed that he’s down for coffee whenever. I’m just busy this next week or so. Things are hectic a the moment but I thought we had something good starting. Anyway, he goes and tells me that this one but he was talking to blocked him but like? I’ve never told anyone I talk to about anyone else. Like I know in talking stages it isn’t monogamous, obviously, but it always seemed kinda rude and off putting to me? Honestly, I kinda stopped talking to other guys just because I wasn’t interested in anyone else but it makes me think that this dude just isn’t as into me as he acts like. What do y’all think? Personally I wouldn’t do this and he says like it’s no competition between me or anyone else and that he thinks I’m hot. But like… Idk I feel like if I was that into someone I’d be putting more energy in. Am I overthinking?

maybe. maybe not. communication is important here. there is no expectation of exclusivity unless it is agreed upon

Can you reword the midsection of this text, its kinda hard to understand? I do think there is a standard that applies when you do not talk about exclusivity but if you have been just talking and meeting fo your first date its not unacceptable in any way to have been talking to other potential dates before that
