Everyone on here keeps telling me to find new better friends but I’ve tried to for a year and a half and have the same issues I’m posting about. We literally have loads in common and I still have to initiate, think I’ve just got to accept that until I find my people I’m just going to have to initiate. I have made 5 new friends this year and still none of them text me first. I’ve known three of them for 2 months and the other 2 for longer

And guess what? There’s not a such thing as “my people” for everyone. So, you might need to adjust your thinking/acceptance even more.
