What you do after losing that job?

  1. Look for another one ASAP, when it comes to money there’s no time to waste, especially nowadays.

  2. Apply and See if I qualify for unemployment. Then start applying for every single help I can think of like food stamps and all of that. Then start applying for jobs.

  3. I’ve been laid off twice, both times I immediately filed for unemployment and then began looking for a new job. Also I hung out a lot with my dog until I got a new job about a month later.

  4. When I was in my 30s and got laid off, I filed for unemployment as soon as I was able and then started looking for a job immediately. Now I’m 62. I got laid off a month ago after nearly 30 years with my employer. I applied for unemployment but I’m taking some time to figure out what I want to do next. Retirement is not an option for another six years. I’m exhausted and depressed and I need to take a breath before moving forward.

  5. Apply for EI and take a few days to decompress then start looking for jobs to apply to
