I use the garage for non car things.
I don’t have one. In most cases I see people have too much stuff in their garage that they’d rather keep covered over their car. Personally, growing up without one, I’d certainly keep my car in a garage if given the option.
This is anecdotal, because I don’t even have a garage right now, but my mom used to park in the driveway because every time she pulled into the garage she’d put a little dent in the wall. We tried to hang a tennis ball and even that didn’t help.
99% of the time the garage is filled with other stuff.
I have 3 cars, the garage is the workshop.
I live in a small townhouse. I use my car for work, and it *barely* fits in my garage. It’s honestly not worth the hassle to pull it in every time, and squeeze past my recycling bins and other crap I have in there.
The garage is mostly my wood shop.
We have 5 people of driving age living here (3 adult children living with parents). Each with their own car. Garage only fits 2, so the rest just have to park wherever
My garage is a gym.
Because it’s full with the wife’s vehicle, the kid’s stuff, and my father in laws boat….
I do put my car in the garage. But there’s 3 so the other two won’t fit
Don’t have a garage but my mum does. Her car sits in the drive because the grage is absolutely packed full of all the crap that needs to be there so her house doesn’t look cluttered.
If I had a garage, it would 100% be a home gym / warehouse / man cave.
My wives car is nicer
Haven’t built it yet. I have to take down several things and move 7 tons of stones… Yeah.. I will build it this year. Im just procrastinating.
Edit : + I don’t own a car of my own yet.
I have a detached garage that I’m (slowly) converting into a woodworking shop.
The garage is usually extra storage or a workshop of some kind for most people that don’t use it for the car, assuming they don’t have the extra space elsewhere for that kind of thing (like a basement or shed).
I don’t have a garage lol. I don’t even have a paved driveway.
I don’t have a garage
The garage doors are a pain to open, and with 2 kids we now have way too much junk
My garage is my personal gym. My two sons and there friends use as well. The trade off does not compare in the slightest. Healthy living vs covered car that will depreciate in value no matter in or out of the garage.
The garage is my workshop.
Because my wife’s car has one side and the other side is filled with all my toys
My lady parks her car in the garage.
No garage to put it in.
My boat’s in there
When I had a garage, I purposely got a house with a bigger garage than I needed because I knew I’d be putting all kinds of stuff in it. I had my washer, dryer, garage heater, workout equipment, tools, all kinds of stuff. A 2.5 car garage and I barely had room for my car (well SUV).
I’m in a 1942 single story ranch. My standard sized pickup would barely fit assuming there was nothing inside of the garage.
That being said, currently, half my garage is storage. I have a boxing bag, treadmill that never gets used, four tool cabinets and a little work area set up. Also, my motorcycle is in there.
Garage is for storage and I use my car everyday. Where else am I gonna put all the christmas decorations?
She says it hurts, so we stick to regular intercouse i.e. I put it in the carport
Yeah, good question. I love my car. It deserves a garage.
