He did this to me this to me last year and it’s happening again. I’m 52, he’s 5 yrs younger and has a pretty responsible job where he is absent for the summer and sporadically home in winter.
What happens is he appears to have some kind of mental breakdown, and refuses to take my calls or answer my messages for days or weeks.
It’s incredibly painful and I’ve had to see a psychiatrist to help me cope.
Each hour feels like a day and each day feels like a month.
I’m on the edge of just about coping with meds but I’m not sure how much longer I can take it.
I’m not in my home country so counseling is difficult due to the language barrier.
How to cope with someone who does this with no explanation? I feel abandoned.
Edit… title should read “stonewaller”

  1. Can you not just get counseling from whatever country(s) speaks your language? Thanks to the internet it doesn’t really matter where they are located. My counselor is sometimes not even on my continent.

You should also ask yourself if you truly want a marriage where you receive such little respect, though.
