Is Daisuke Tsuji a well-known actor in the USA or internationally?

1. I didn’t know his name, but I’ve seen him in a few things (namely Man in the High Castle).

4. I had never heard of him so I looked him up. He has been in one theatrical release in the USA and that was as cave soldier number two in a movie that did 60 million worldwide. His other four movies he’s done in the last 17 years have been shorts and one direct to video. On to his television credits. He has been in a total of 32 episodes of tv shows in the last 17 years with his eight episodes of invasion on Apple TV being his longest running stint on a show. Now I did watch invasion and I didn’t really remember his face, but in my defense the show also had Golshifteh Farahani in it who I find very attractive so…. Nope not a well known actor

5. For everyone else wondering who this actor is:

   He was the main character in the game Ghost of Tsushima.

   When I read that I was like “yea ok, that guy.”

   No OP, he isn’t well known.

9. It looks like he does mostly voice acting work? Voice actors aren’t really well known outside of niche fanbases.

11. Can’t speak for the whole world. But in the US, no. I would wager the majority of Americans don’t know who he is. Some might recognize his face but probably don’t know his name or know anything else about him beyond the one semi-popular show he was in.

13. I only know him because I’m such a big fan of Ghost of Tsushima.

14. After looking him up I have seen him in the Man in the high castle and the old Mortal combat movie from the 90s. It was a really cheesy movie and certainly wasn’t received well. It’s really only brought up in videos of the worst CGI in movies.

16. Ken Watanabe is probably the only well-known Japanese actor in the US, but even then it would be hard to find a random person on the street who would instantly recognize him, maybe only 30% of Americans would have heard of him.

19. I’m more into movies than most of the people I know. I listen to 4-5 different film podcasts weekly, keep up with future releases, etc. I’ve never heard of this person. No, they’re not well-known here in any sense.

20. Depends on how you define well-known, but no, probably not. I would imagine that under 10% of the population even knows who he is.

21. No, he’s definitely not well-known here. The vast majority of people wouldn’t know his name, and I doubt most would even recognize his face.

    No, I wouldn’t date him because I’m not interested in men.
