Single women over 40 (never married and/or had kids,) what sorts of problems do you encounter that you didn’t think you’d have when you were younger?

  1. Having to work on my car. Replacing headlights, brake lights, brakes, and now, the CV joints. It’s okay though, just acquiring new skills and tools.

  2. I have arthritis which is some horseshit – I know it’s common in the elderly but god dammit I’m 41 and that’s not fair.

Also I’m in the early throes of peri-menopause and it suuuuucks. Like I knew menopause sucked, that’s not a surprise, but I didn’t realize that the ramp up started so long before the big show and that it fuckin sucks. My period used to be a polite affair, just showing up for 4 days, not making a fuss, and bowing out. Now it’s 6 days of being the world’s most disgusting fountain while I cry and eat everything. Bull. Shit.
