I would like to buy a cock ring but the options are endless and I’m having difficulty deciding. I would appreciate any advice you have on purchasing and using one.

Information that might help you filter advice would be that I have sex no more than a handful of times per month, so it does not need to be extremely durable. Also, I am of slightly below average girth and length.

Thank you in advance.

  1. I’ve found success with the Trojan Hot Shot and Trojan Vibrations Tandem Couples Ring. They are relatively cheap and work well for me. My wife also likes them. We tried a more expensive one and she did not like it, so we just go with the affordable ones now. Like you I am average or slightly below average.

  2. I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but I bought a shit ton of different ones from Temu just to see what direction I wanted to go.

  3. Search on Amazon for cock rings and get a variety pack if you are worried that standard size isn’t going to fit. They’re like $10.

BTW if you are worried about your penis size, look into manual penis enlargement. There are couple of subs on Reddit. I’ve been doing it for many years and I’ve gone from below average length and girth to above average for both.

  4. Definitely either get a set of slightly different sizes, or an adjustable one. I’ve heard good things about the elastic ones with an adjuster (cord lock?) but never tried one.
I have a set of wider rings, more like bands than narrow rings that I find pretty comfortable. Ymmv.

Try it out solo first to find what fits comfortably when you’re hard, and practice putting it on over a hard dick, which is more difficult than when soft.

Remember you should only wear it for 20-30 min at a stretch, and take it off if your dick gets numb or tingly.

  5. First… Welcome to the world of cock rings!!!

A few have stated already, but I’ll repeat: start with a relatively cheap silicone set. If you’re interested in making an investment in a nicer piece, this is the best first step in finding your size because it is a low financial risk (less than $25 for a good silicone set compared to a $350+ Tungsten Carbide jewelry level piece) as well as a low personal risk (silicone rings are body safe, don’t tend to stretch unduly, and can be cut off with household scissors in the unlikely event you get stuck). They are also usually quite comfortable if it’s to become your “one” ring.

From there, the sky is the limit! Experimentimg with different types (shaft, cock and ball, glans, triple rings, combination, etc) amd different materials (stainless, tungsten carbide, wood, glass, stone, etc) can be super fun… but it all starts with safely finding your size with these safe multipacks.

I’m happy to offer more specific recommendations if you can share some thoughts about what you might like and a budget. I also run a personal blog (non monetized – just a thing I do, link can be found from my profile) about cock rings… and a few like minded enjoyers/manufacturers of these fun adornments even hang out on /r/CockRingTalk if you’d like to ask more opinions.

    All the best!

  6. Before I bought anything I honestly used one of her hair ties and it was a bit to tight but gives an idea of what will happen
