I volunteer at an organization and was recently elected to a leadership role. There’s a woman on the team who has a history of being negative and making snarky comments about me in the past. In a recent incident, she sided with two members who were gossiping about several people on the committee, including me. They eventually quit, and now she’s seeking a position again.

We have a meeting scheduled this week, and I’m concerned that she might make another one of those snide comments in front of the group. How can I address her comments professionally without being overly harsh?
