Hi all,

I’ve read some of the faq but i’m not really sure what my problem is so I thought I’d ask for advice. So i’m a fairly late bloomer in terms of sex (first time having sex was like 26 and i’m 30 now) and my previous girlfriend from 2020-2022 had an IUD so I didn’t really need a condom beyond the first time or two. Generally at that time I think I was able to cum (condomless) and was definitely easier to come the less I masturbated (I tend to masturbate once a day).

Since breaking up with my gf, every sexual experience i’ve had to wear a condom. I think i’ve cum once from fellatio but usually it feels good but is hard for me to actually cum. Handjobs i’ve rarely had a girl do it right (i feel like grip feels off or too tight) but alone I can come in like 5 minutes.

Anyway, my problem i’m asking advice for is that since breaking up with my gf, i’ve generally had this problem where within 3-4 minutes of having the condom i’ve started to become soft which obviously makes it harder to have sex and harder to cum as well. Sometimes i’ll have to take the condom off and foreplay and get hard again, quickly put the condom on again and then i’m able to cum more quickly.

I don’t know if this delay in ejaculation is psychogenic or something to do with the condom or my masturbation or using/condoms in general. I feel like the problem with the condom for me is when my partner is very turned on and wet, it’s hard to feel the friction and it feels like a slip and slide. I’ve only ever used the SKYN Elites. If it’s the condom, how do I tell what the right condom will be?

  1. Sorry if this is a suggestion you’ve heard before, but maybe try masturbating with the condom on? So you get used to wearing it in sexual settings. Also trying edging couldn’t hurt, so your body’s more used to sessions that take more than like five minutes. I know it’s not a stamina issue in that you’re finishing too fast, but it still sounds like a stamina thing in the opposite way, if that makes sense.

  2. There may be a chance that you need a step up in condom size. I personally had this issue, and Skyn Elite Large condoms saved the day!
