Whenever it’s a bit “cold” and I wear something else than a thick jacket, she always tells me it’s so cold and to take her jacket or wear her mother’s when I go back home from her place. Event if I say no, I don’t want, she drags it so much, that it’s getting so annoying.
For example we met up outside and I wore this boucle jacket perfect for the weather and she wore a thick coat. That day I dressed myself up a bit and we hung out. Later on we went to her home and I stayed there a bit , when it was late I decided to go back home but then she was like omg the weather is so cold ur jacket is too thin, u have to wear something thick. Then I said: ” No it’s okay , my jacket isn’t really thin and then weather wasn’t that cold today”. She kept saying no no u have to, then brought her moms and told me to wear it, I did but it looked ridiculous, a jacket on top of another one. I took it off and said no I don’t want ty. And I dressed up myself today , I don’t wanna go out looking weird like that. Her mom then said that it’s not even cold and I said yes ur making too much of a big deal out of it. And then just went. It annoyed me so much cuz she always does this when I don’t wear something “thick” for her. But when I tell her to she is like no it’s okay I am not cold and I just leave it at that. If I freezed that much I can just ask her, i am not stupid. And it takes sooo much time to convince her that it makes me not wanna meet up with her when it’s slightly cold but I really like my cousin as she is my bestie .. and I look kinda like an ahole when i tell her that I don’t want it.

You wouldn’t be an asshole if you keep repeating “No thanks, I’m fine”. Just keep answering that, she’ll drop it eventually. If you want to be extra nice, you can say: “I really appreciate you looking out for me, I’m really fine though”.
