Last year I was talking to someone and apparently I misread the situation and thought that they might like me back. We went for a couple of drinks, and I assume because I tend to act weird when I am drunk, I scared them away. I said some things I shouldn’t have said, made inappropriate jokes asked about past relationships (I know it’s bad). So after that night we never talked again. I tried to talk to them as if nothing happened, but they would just ignore me. It’s been a year, we see each other everyday in class, and the awkwardness really bothers me. I keep thinking how I might have crossed their boundaries and ruined a good friendship.
Is it worth trying to talk to them even if they are ignoring me and what should I say, or should I just accept things as they are even if it’s really bothering me?

  1. Honestly I think the closure is always nice but if he is avoidant you might just save yourself some peace. I am alsooo the weird friend I can get spazzy and become annoying but the people who are around and don’t care are the ones worth it.

  2. I’d accept things as they are. If you try to talk to them again, and they stop ignoring you, I wouldn’t go for drinks with them again since you said you act weird when you are.
