I recently had someone call me out for copying them and it sent me into a realization about myself. I’ve always had very poor social skills and have always been alone but I still crave having my own community of friends. So I’ll go online and have phases where I’ll hyperfixate on someone that other people like and copy their entire persona into my personality in hopes of having other people like me but I’ve noticed I just seem annoying to others. I don’t understand how people are themselves, how do i even know who i am?

Copy the useful information and then be yourself and show interest in others with the questions that come into your head while next to one another.
