  1. Oppenheimer followed by Killers of the Flower Moon. I think everybody should know the story of Killers of the Flower Moon and the crimes against the Osage Nation. The book is from a different perspective, but I would also recommend it.

  2. I’ve been rewatching all the fincher films.

    So far:

    Fight club

    Se7en

    Gone girl

    Panic room

    Dragon tattoo

    Social network

Are my favorite movies I’ve watched this year.

Eeaao must have been good cuz I watched it 3 times

  3. Mine was probably The Creator. Well casted, good watch, couldn’t tell quite was it was going, and a solid 8/10. Sci-fi that isn’t out there and a good representation of one of our possible futures.

  4. Leo, just watched it last night, super wholesome and funny, was able to watch with my toddler

  5. An Elephant Sitting Still. A Chinese arthouse film that’s 4 hours long. Not an easy watch but wow.

  6. The only new movies I’ve seen this year were Oppenheimer and Barbie and even though I really liked both of them, I was most surprised and impressed by Barbie. It was close though. I’d still like to see Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon.

  7. (These are movies I haven’t seen before BTW)

Released in 2023 – Asteroid City (honorable mention to Joy Ride, Guardians 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse, and Super Mario Movie).

    Released before 2023?

    The Batman.

  8. Old Henry, Rio Bravo, and The Good Bad and the Ugly according to my IMDB profile. Interesting that’s it’s all Westerns. My highest rated movie released in 2023 is The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die. I haven’t seen very many new movies lately.
