like for example, the person who is in charge of the music is usually someone i know but only because they DJ at a bar i frequent and i’ve struck up conversation with them before their set because of “happenstance”. is it weird to go up and say “hey how are you? your doing great!” or something along the lines of that? i can’t deny that i’ve been attempting to make friends for a few a few months now but i’ve known these people for a few years. is there a protocol that prevents the person in question from feeling awkward?

  1. No! I don’t think there’s anything weird about that! You gotta start somewhere! Lol! I’m not at all embarrassed to say I’m 42 and last year had to walk away from a very toxic social circle. People I had been friends with since my early 20s. Some since childhood! It wasn’t an easy decision but the depleting drama and BS just got to be too much!

Since January 2022 I’ve been the geek dancing by herself not giving a shit even if people start laughing! If they do then I must be pretty amusing is how I look at it!
