How to be that person that people gravitate to when they want to make new friends? I think I’m quite friendly but I feel like I’m not this kind of person. When I’m waiting to outside my class I smile at people and try to make small talk but they don’t really turn into friendships and it doesn’t seem like anyone is interested in being my friend. But there are some people in my classes who I really want to be friends with I’m not sure why, I would like to be like them.

  1. Be a more agreeable person. Generally people hate conflict and fighting makes people tired. Being positive also works. Basically just don’t be toxic

  2. Usually there needs to be a reason to hang out together, and then that can turn into hanging out for coffee, watching movies or whatever. Maybe you can ask people to study together?

  3. As the other commenter said, be more positive. I find that being positive, energetic and enthusiastic when someone’s talking to you makes you become likeable.
