  1. I just got the expansions for civ 6. They made the amenities penalties for war weariness quite high. It’s also difficult to keep control of cities surrounded by foreign cities. This has made my domination run as Germany quite slow… also I could’ve done a better job of planning mega hanse districts (they yield insane production if you place them right).

  2. Finally got some documents from my old uni that I have been waiting for for over two months. Had it not arrived by post (yes, really) within 3, they said I could only pick it up physically, meaning I would have to travel to Belgium! Who made such a stupid system, and why can’t they just digitise it?

Ok, that concludes today’s screaming at the internet void. Have a great day, wherever you are 🙂

  3. It was just -16 in the morning but that was cold enough for my car not to start. And the battery’s only a year old and recently charged full so that’s not the reason. The starter did spin, but no life from the engine. Darn.

How much do the car owners here do fixes and maintenance work on your own car, or do you always use a professional mechanic? With my previous cars I’ve done basic stuff like changing the oil and filter, brake pads and discs, and once I changed the rear shocks to my old VW, but my current car has clearly been designed to be worked on from a pit (you know, so you can work on it from underneath), which I don’t have.
