Not sure if this belongs on this subreddit but there’s a person I despise at university and I have to see her at lectures and sit near her sometimes (us girls like to all sit together sometimes lol).

Thing is, when I see her I feel sick. Any mention of her pisses me off too.

She bullied me last year, that’s why. I don’t talk to her anymore but whenever I’m reminded of her I am reminded of the weak, pathetic mess I was last year where I let people treat me like crap.

How do I overcome these feelings?

  1. Remember: is temporary. It will pass.

And you should be proud of yourself (I assume you had some atitude about it, that’s why you don’t speak with her anymore). If wasn’t the case, just say what you need, defend your values, and keep going. You will be stronger next to the people you hate more and more.

  2. Block them out. If you have to talk to them, do it as shortly as you can. Try not to show your anger, because that will only escalate the problem, so don’t be malicious or anything, just stay neutral. Your lectures won’t last forever, but when you’re there, sit away from this person. It sucks having to spend so much time with someone you dislike, I know this, because I’ve been through it, too. But it’s gonna be okay, just power through it
