What makes a person likeable?

1. I think a common one is someone who shows interest in the person who’s talking or person they are with.

2. A smile

3. Validation. Especially coming from a person you believe has the value and fortitude to give it.

4. Genuinely being supportive.

5. Me.

6. Their ability to recite many animal fun facts

7. Being humble is a big one for me. Especially when that person is highly skilled in whatever it is.

8. Being kind to everyone regardless of their appearance, age etc.

10. For me, it’s being able to geek out/ talk in depth about a shared interest or hobby.

    Second best is the ability to joke around with that person or clown on something we both find silly/stupid about work, society, or culture.

12. Someone that will spend the time getting to know someone in multiple interactions, rather than relying just on a first impression of them.

14. I think someone somewhere once said that one’s ability to make others feel comfortable around them is what makes one likable. It’s so true, I met someone like that, a snake but not entirely. She can laugh and joke around with someone she clearly hates and expressed disdain towards

15. being able to LISTEN to others and make open ended conversation

16. Someone who makes you feel comfortable
