I [26 m] started to get in the dating world last year with dating apps, after waisting 5 months (0 matches), I decided to cancel my profiles and go with the old fashioned IRL.
One of the most popular advices I hear is: “go to bars and social events”, I’m trying that, but I don’t have any luck, not because I get rejected, but because there aren’t any girls to begin with!
I tried to go different bars and pubs in different cities, even on a Friday and Saturday night, I saw no one to talk to.
I also tried to go at some game nights, and some other event, but no luck there either.
And there is no meetup group in a feasible distance (40 km).
Am I just impatient? It feels so innatural to not find any one, seems that if you don’t live in a Big city you can’t find anyone, I just don’t know what to do now.

In order for dating apps to work, you have to have excellent pics. If you scroll through your picture feed of pictures of you, truth is that only about 5% of pics actually make you look really good. So you need to either pick the best or have a friend help you take some alluring pictures. Especially if you have any female friends or a sister that has a good photogenic eye.
